TURNING

Turning is a circular metal removal process from the rotating workpiece with cutting inserts with certain geometrical cutting edges. In general, rotational motion is applied to the workpiece. Turning operations are performed on classical lathes or in mass production, CNC lathes. Turning operations are applied to cylindrical or cylindrical diameter parts. In our facility, internal and external turning, facing ,vertical turning, profile turning, grooving, threading, taper turning, cutting process, curved and angle chamfering process, drilling etc. transactions are made.

Lathes are one of the basic machines used in manufacturing processes. Especially with the use of coated tool tips in CNC lathes, the potential of chip removal has increased. Particularly, parts in precise dimensions and fine surface roughness are successfully processed in a short time.

MILLING

Milling is the process of machining flat or curved surfaces, grooves, helical grooves, gears and screw threads, pocket and stage machining, drilling and enlargement processes with single or multi-edged cutting tools with a certain geometric structure.

Cutting tool in milling process both can be movable, depending on the moving or workpiece operation situation. The milling process is done in classical  milling machines or finely and delicately in CNC milling machines. General milling operations are classified as face milling, profile milling, slot milling, form milling, gear hobbing milling. A hard HSS one-piece cutting tool is used in milling, but coated inserts have also been used in recent years. Milling machines have more machining and cutting power than lathes in terms of chip removal. As ASPA Fabrication, we provide all kinds of slotting, machining, threading, drilling, helical and angular surfaces, peck drilling etc. We can perform many operations extremely quickly and precisely.

DRILL (DRILLING)

It is the opening of cylindrical holes or a blind hole of certain dimensions on the surface of the part with a cutter drill which rotates around its own axis, milling cutter. Drill is used for drilling. In addition, it is possible to drill holes in CNC lathes or CNC milling machines by attaching a hole drilling apparatus to the machine. Drilling can be done with drill bits as well as with plain milling cutters.

Drilling is one of the most common basic manufacturing operations. Drilling is done in the desired dimensions and tolerance range in our factory. High speed steel (HSS) drills are used in these processes. Especially since these cutters have a very high metal removal potential, they are widely used in CNC lathes, CNC milling machines and CNC boring machines.

REAMING

Reaming is a hole improvement process with very little machining in order to produce holes with high quality and appropriate precision. The reaming process is used to provide axial straightness, precise measurement accuracy and fine surface roughness to drilled holes.

The reaming process is divided into cylindrical reaming and conical reaming. While the cylindrical reaming process is applied to cylindrical holes, the conical reaming process is used to smooth the tapered holes. The reaming process is similar to the drilling process. Reamer is used instead of drill for precision machining only.  Helical or flat corrugated reamers are used in these processes. Reaming is done according to the desired tolerance and usage area in the project.

GRINDING

Grinding is the process of obtaining a very fine surface precision, providing dimensional accuracy, and obtaining a surface with lower roughness, with cylindrical stones of various grain sizes, with a small amount of chip removal from the surface of machined machine parts.

Grinding is generally done on grinding machines. However, it can also be done on CNC turning and milling machines by attaching additional apparatus. In order to save time in places that require additional processing, in CNC machining, and to eliminate a second machining, especially simple hole and external surface grinding operations can be done easily.

In the grinding process, grinding tools with natural and artificial grains combined with chemicals in various grain sizes are used. Particularly, it is possible to remove a small amount of chips from the surface of the parts that are very hard to machine, by grinding.

The grinding process is classified as profile grinding, cylindrical grinding, and plane surface grinding. Apart from these processes, other basic manufacturing processes are also applied to the machine parts. Other basic operations such as honing, brushing and polishing are also performed. These processes are mostly applied to parts to be processed sensitively and finely.

The infrastructure and service provided by ASPA Fabrication in terms of quality ensure customer satisfaction in the best way. As we work continuously with international companies, we work in accordance with all quality standards. ASPA Fabrication guarantees operation within the specified standard and tolerance range.

All projects sent to ASPA Fabrication for evaluation enter the quality process after detailed technical evaluation. In addition to our versatile quality procedure as standard, we create special ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) that can vary for each project. First, we make an evaluation based on the information we receive from our customers and the technical specification. Then we create a comprehensive quality file that includes all the details.

In our comprehensive quality file, there are documents that contain all the processes and technical information from the input quality control of the incoming materials to the shipment stage. Our quality control documents, which are determined in detail by our engineers in our Quality Control office, are transferred to our competent quality control technicians in the field. A dedicated quality control technician is assigned for each project, who checks your project all day. In this way, we minimize all risks that may occur during the manufacturing phase. Our QC (Quality Control) and QA (Quality Assurance) systems are carried out in accordance with the standards set by international quality systems.

We request certificates according to EN 10204 for all the raw materials we use in our production. One of the standard services we provide to our customers in all our projects is traceability. We share weekly reports and images of the products with our customers throughout the production period. In addition, we are able to share at the frequency determined by our customers or on a daily basis.

We provide our customers with our detailed report, including sample production, with our CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machines) device for machining in almost all of our projects. In this way, we prevent all errors that may occur in our production in advance.

TS EN ISO 23125 > Machine tools > Safety > Turning machines

This International Standard specifies the requirements and/or measures to eliminate the hazards or reduce the risks on the following groups of turning machines and turning centres which are defined in 3.1 and designed primarily to shape cold metal by cutting: Group 1: Manually controlled turning machines without numerical control; Group 2: Manually controlled turning machines with limited numerically controlled capability; Group 3: Numerically controlled turning machines and turning centres; Group 4: Single- or multi-spindle automatic turning machines. This International Standard covers the significant hazards listed in clause 4 and applies to ancillary devices (e. g. for workpieces, tools and work clamping devices, handling devices and chip handling equipment, etc.) which are integral to the machine. This International Standard also applies to machines which are integrated into an automatic production line or turning cell in as much as the hazards and risks arising are comparable to those of machines working separately.

TS EN ISO 16090-1 > Machine tools safety > Machining centres, Milling machines, Transfer machines – Part 1: Safety requirements (ISO 16090-1:2017)

This International Standard specifies the technical safety requirements and protective measures for the design, construction and supply (including installation and dismantling, with arrangements for transport and maintenance) of stationary milling machines (see 3.1.1), including machines capable of performing boring operations (see 3.1.2), machining centres and transfer machines which are intended to cut cold metal, and other non-combustible cold materials except for wood or materials with physical characteristics similar to those of wood as defined in ISO 19085-1, and for glass, stone and engineered/agglomerated materials as defined in EN 14618.

TS 291-7 ISO 603-4 > Bonded Abrasive Products- Dimensions-Part 4: Grinding Wheels For Surface Grinding/Peripheral Grinding

This International Standard specifies the technical safety requirements and protective measures for the covers grinding wheels and grinding surface treatment.
